Rosa Parks is well known for what she did back in 1955. She gave up her seat for a white person. Yes of course there was consequences , and she did go to jail. But she stood up for her self. Black and white people were seperated because of the law segregation. But it's not just Rosa Parks who did this. A women named Cluadette Colvin, also stood up for the segregation rights in 1955 at Alabama. At the time, she was only 15, but that did not stop her for standing up for what is right. She had also served for plaintiff. A plaintiff is a person who brings a case against another court of law. The case helped end the practice of segregation on Montgomery public buses. But one day, colvin was arrested, for many charges. Like violating the segregation laws. She had sat in jail for many of those hours for what she did by disobeying the laws on segregation.

There is many different ways you can use to transport yourself. Like a car, truck, bus, skateboard, or even a bike. But have you ever wondered who invented the bicycle? Well a man named Karl von drais invented it. In 1817, he created a 2 wheel wooden machine. He said that the machine is to move around with the power of your feet. And to steer, there was 2 handels to hold on to, and point you in the direction you want to go. He tried to figure out a name for this 2 wheel machine, and came up with the name bicycle. This is how the bicycle was invented. Hope you enjoyed!
Veterans day is celebrated on November 11th. It is a holiday to honor brave boys and girls that are in the armed forces. It also includes all the people that were in things that were related to arm forces, like the army, navy, marine corps, national guard, air force, and many more. The holiday will always get confused with memorial day, so when it is veterans day, some people might think it is memorial day, and when it is memorial day, some people might think it is veterans day. Even though some people might get confused, both holidays are celebrated to the people that are in the army and other things like that. But both holidays also have different purposes. I hope you enjoyed!
Do you have a friend that has a disabilities? Disable people can have many different forms. As an example, some people might have trouble functioning, because of their disabilities, while others might have trouble walking, etc. If you have a disable friend, you could probably ask them what they want to be when they get older, or like what they are going to do about job wise. They could be a lawyer, a teacher, and engineer, and many other things to! Some people might even want to be an artist. Have you ever wandered if disable people can do these "normal" things, well they can! Just because people with disabilities doesn't mean they can't do these type of things. They might have a certain reaching points though. Disable people will try hard to do anything to achieve something important to them. I hope this teaches you to always remember that just because someone has a disabilities, doesn't mean that they can't do things that they love to do like art.

If you say treat, you will get a piece of candy. If you say trick, you will have to say a joke or a trick, and then you will get a piece of candy. Don't forget, Halloween is on October 30-31st!
Have you ever been playing a sport and your muscle cramped? I have, and it doesn't feel good! Muscle cramps happen often when you are exercising/playing sports. Or they could be growing pains, that could also happen at night time. A muscle cramp is an involuntary contraction of your muscle. Which means it can happen on its own. The muscle will get very stiff and stay that way for a few seconds, or even many minutes. The muscle being this stiff for so long can cause pain, and making it become severe. Muscle cramps will not go away on its own so sometimes you will have to massage the area well, so its gone for sure.
Have you ever wished that there were more hours in a day besides 24? Everyday, we all get to have a chance to do things and make the best day possible with only 24 hours. Sometimes, 24 hours just isn't enough to do everything we need to get done. Well if you have ever wanted days to be longer, then here is a surprise Scientist have discovered that days on earth are actually getting longer, each year. don't thank the scientists, thank the moon for this "phenomenon".Before you get to happy about this, you wont really notice the changes, in each year. The changes are super small, and scientists think that it would take billions of years to add up all of these small changes, to actually make a difference. As the moon rotates around the Earth, it can affect Earths rotation. Scientists have discovered that the moon gradually gets farther, and farther away from the Earth at a rate of 1.5 inches per year. The movement causes Earth to rotate slower around its axis. To find out more read the article.
